1. Sr. Modeler

Job Description :

As a Senior Modeler, you will create and manage 3D models of structural steel components. Your primary focus will be ensuring that all models meet project specifications and adhere to industry standards, including AISC and Canadian standards. You will collaborate closely with project managers, checkers, and other team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop 3D models of steel structures using TEKLA software.
  • Interpret and apply project specifications, industry codes, and standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure models align with project goals.
  • Perform quality checks on models to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the preparation of shop drawings from the 3D models.
  • Mentor and guide junior modelers as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural steel modeling.
  • Proficiency in TEKLA software is essential.
  • Strong understanding of AISC and Canadian standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

2. Sr. Checker

Job Description :

The Senior Checker will review and verify the accuracy of detailed steel construction drawings and 3D models. You will ensure that all drawings meet the specified project requirements and comply with relevant industry standards. This role requires a high level of precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and check detailed shop drawings and 3D models for accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, AISC, and Canadian standards.
  • Coordinate with modelers and engineers to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Provide feedback and corrections to junior checkers and modelers.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all checks and revisions.
  • Participate in project meetings to discuss progress and issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in structural steel detailing and checking.
  • Extensive knowledge of TEKLA software.
  • Familiarity with AISC and Canadian standards.
  • Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit and proofread technical documents, drawings, and reports.
  • Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and free of errors.
  • Collaborate with engineers, modelers, and checkers to gather information.
  • Maintain consistency in terminology and formatting across all documents.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and industry codes.
  • Provide editorial support during client communication and documentation submissions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical editing, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Strong understanding of structural steel terminology and documentation practices.
  • Proficiency in editing tools and software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
